Frank Colonna is a member of the Long Beach Board of Harbor Commissioners, appointed in July 2017 by Mayor Robert Garcia. A Long Beach real estate professional and business owner for more than 30 years, he served two terms as a Long Beach City Council member and two years as Vice Mayor.
Mr. Colonna recently served on the City’s Economic Development Commission. While the 3rd District councilman, he chaired the Alameda Corridor Transportation Authority, the Central Cities Committee for the National League of Cities and the San Gabriel and Lower Los Angeles Rivers and Mountains Conservancy.
Born in Chicago, Mr. Colonna moved to Long Beach at age 11, and attended St. Anthony Parish School and St. Anthony High School, where he graduated. He has a bachelor's degree in zoology from California State University, Long Beach, and a master's degree in environmental health from California State University, Northridge.
