Description

Located in the community of Wilmington at the Southeast corner of the Shell Lube facility. This is the second phase of the West Thenard Track Connection Project wich was one of several Corridor projects added to the program by ACTA, the Ports and the Railroads in 2001.

The Phase 2 Connection will enable trains from Terminal Island to access the Phase 1 Connection to Watson Yard and serve as an alternative emergency connection to the Corridor.

Property negotiations and utility relocation planning are underway.

The Project is scheduled to begin in late 2009.
